Easy Stats is a simple Excel based program, designed to solve the problems many students experience with data presentation and statistical analysis in Geography projects. The program is divided into two areas.

Data Presentation allows students to draw river cross-sections and automatically calculates variables such as hydraulic radius, discharge and so on. There is no minimum number of points readings as with some other similar programs. It also allows students automatically to draw kite diagrams, path cross sections and slope profiles. All programs come with on-screen instructions.

Statistical Analysis allows students to calculate Spearman's Rank, Mann Whitney-U, Chi Squared, T-Test and Pearson's Product Moment Coefficient. Students can either choose to work through the calculation stage by stage or simply to feed in the numbers and receive a coefficient and a significance level. Each technique has a worked example and on-screen, step by step instructions.

This program will be particularly useful for students completing the new, shorter AS Level coursework.
